History of the Hotel
The history of the Inn in ZagĂłrze dates back to 7th of January 1413. Due to the Commander of Gdansk, Jacob from Gołędzin was designated as the owner of the building. It might be assumed that the House was situated as early as in the XIV century near the main street - nowadays Sobieskiego street.
Historical documents from 1565 and 1627 are an irrefutable proof, that the Inn was being run as a typical Rest-House where guests could find some peace and contentment.
During the 1st Swedish War (1629) the Building was devastated and after being restored it
changed its function. The guests were offered accommodation in a very beautiful scenery then.
In XIXth century, next to the old Rest-House, a very new structure with vitreous walls came into being.
It was the summer cafeteria that ornamented the local surrounding.
Over a hundred years ago, in 1903, the Germans made another building which formed the leisure complex.
The Old House became famous and survived till today as the "White Manor House" Hotel (Biały Dworek).
Finally, it was restored in 1999 according to the very high European standards.
Nowadays, the architectural style comes back to its original shapes, keeping inside the secrets of
over 500-year-history.
One of the parts of the Hotel is a wonderful restaurant, which serves meals that tempt the eye
and amaze with taste all day long. There is also a banquet room built in a castle cellar-like
style and a crammed with alcohols drink-bar.
